I am writing on behalf of my 80 year old Mum, who underwent a hip replacement 6 weeks ago.
I cannot speak highly enough of Mr Tai, he is an excellent consultant and would not hesitate to recommend him. He has totally transformed my Mum’s life!
A special mention also to Mr Tai’s PA, Ellis Buttrey, who was very professional throughout and kept me fully informed on my Mum’s procedure.

Mr Tai. Is by far the most caring and professional Doctor I have ever had. His attention to detail is second to none. I was was constantly updated throughout my care, surgery and after care. I wish he was my consultant/Doctor from earlier in my sports injuries. Always at the end of the phone to answer any questions or concerns. Thank you so,so much for your fantastic work.

Mr Tai replaced both my knees. I have only good things to say about the care I received and the positive outcomes of the procedures. I found Mr Tai to very approachable and professional. He gave me options for where I could have surgery and explained everything that was likely to happen. He gave me realistic expectations for my recovery and future function. I would not hesitate in recommending Mr Tai's surgical skills to anyone.

Mr Tai understood my knee problem fully.
He offered me a couple of options in what he could do to help.
After coming out of the arthroscopy I felt very little pain and was relatively comfortable for the following days.

I am an experienced Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon at East and North Hertfordshire NHS Trust, who specialises in adult hip and knee arthroplasty and the management of traumatic injuries. I consult privately at Pinehill Hospital in Hitchin, and One Hatfield Hospital.
Having studied medicine at St Mary's Hospital medical school, I underwent specialist training on the highly regarded Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital, Stanmore, Specialist Registrar rotation. I then continued my sub specialty training in adult hip and knee replacement surgery on the prestigious year-long fellowship with the Specialist Orthopaedic Group in Sydney, Australia. During this fellowship, I was trained in the latest arthroplasty techniques, including the direct anterior approach to the hip, computer navigated hip replacements and patient specific implants.
I have completed a second fellowship in complex trauma at University Hospital, Walsgrave - one of the busiest major trauma centres in the United Kingdom.
I have published a number of articles related to my areas of sub-specialty interest and I have written book chapters on traumatic injuries.
